Skipping Phases
The Accelerator is configurable. You may skip stages, but every skip is a risk decision that must be owned.
When to Skip
- Skip POC: If feasibility is trivially known (e.g., standard CRUD on existing stack).
- Skip Pilot: If the domain is low-risk and MVP is inherently testable.
- Skip MVP: Rarely allowed. Only for internal tools with ultra-small user bases.
Conditions for Legal Skipping
- Rationale must be documented in the Scope Charter.
- Sponsor and Scope Lead must sign off.
- Engineering Lead must agree the risk is manageable.
Skipping is not a shortcut. It is a transfer of risk.
