2. The Governance Lens

Definition of Ready (DoR)

The minimum clarity required to enter delivery.

The Definition of Ready (DoR) is the absolute minimum standard of clarity required to pass a project from ideation into the Accelerator.

Evidence-Only Scoring

In the Governance OS, "Ready" is not a feeling. It is a state achieved through documented evidence. If an input, dependency, or risk mitigation strategy is not documented and linked, it does not exist.

Non-Negotiable Rule
Scoring is strictly normative. You cannot claim "High Clarity" on an axis without a corresponding, valid URL to the artifact proving it. Placeholders (e.g., "TBD", "Link coming soon") instantly invalidate the token.

The Six Axes of Readiness

Before any scope is approved, it must be evaluated across these boundaries:

  • Feasibility (F): Can we actually build this?
  • Behavior / Operability (B): How will this run in production?
  • Value Clarity (V): Why are we doing this and how do we measure success?
  • Dependency Volatility (D): Who are we waiting on, and are they stable?
  • Regulatory / Blast Radius (R): What is the worst-case scenario if this fails?
  • Novelty / Boundary Risk (N): Have we done this before, or are we guessing?
